Despite playing up a little in the paddock which included some bucking and rearing, she was very professional when she hit the track.
Jumping very well throughout and she was not fazed by the race leader having a good look at the hurdles.
Marshella is a lovely looking Getaway filly who I purchased with the Beswick Brothers as a foal. I’m a big fan of Getaway fillies, more so than the geldings! She has a lovely pedigree to boot, being out of a Dansili half sister to Cinders and Ashes, family of Brain Boru and Sea Moon.
It was a fantastic family day as she is owned by brothers Bart and Warwick, ridden by cousin Harry and cheered home by Uncle Willie Ryan who won the Derby on Benny the Dip. That’s what racing is about.
